Heather Britt, LPC-MHSP, PMH-C, is a Nashville-based therapist who works with adults, ages 18 and up, offering a grounded, compassionate space where clients can slow down, feel understood, and reconnect with themselves. She believes real growth happens when clients are met with warmth, respect, and intention.

Heather supports clients navigating depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), religious trauma, life transitions, chronic illness, and relationship challenges. She holds specialized training and certification in perinatal mental health, allowing her to support clients through pregnancy and the postpartum season with care and clinical insight. She also has special training in the area of grief and has a special place in her heart for clients experiencing grief in all forms. A committed ally to LGBTQ+ clients, Heather is intentional about creating a space rooted in safety, dignity, and belonging.

Working from an integrated approach, Heather draws from different therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of each individual client. Clinically, Heather works from a somatic and IFS-informed perspective, helping clients reconnect with their bodies, understand their internal world, and gently uncover what needs attention or care. She is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Perinatal Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (P-DBT), which supports clients experiencing symptoms related to trauma, depression, and anxiety.

Heather earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2014 and brings 15 years of experience in the field. She is also an LPC-approved supervisor and enjoys supporting developing clinicians with the same thoughtfulness and encouragement she offers her clients.

In her free time Heather enjoys being outside, exercising, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and beloved cat.
