Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits

Nashville Psych is an out-of-network, fee-for-service practice. You pay the full session fee at the time of your appointment.

If your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. The amount varies by plan and may depend on factors such as your out-of-network deductible, coinsurance, and the amount your insurance company recognizes for the service. We also provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance company when seeking out-of-network reimbursement.

Estimate My Benefits

Estimates are informational and are not a guarantee of coverage or reimbursement.

Prefer not to use insurance?

You are always welcome to pay privately without submitting claims to insurance. If you choose not to submit claims, your insurance company is not involved in reimbursement for your care.

Why might my reimbursement be different from the percentage listed in my plan?

Insurance plans may calculate out-of-network reimbursement using an amount established by the plan rather than your therapist’s full fee. Your deductible and other plan terms may also affect how much you receive.

Your insurance company can give you the most accurate information about how your specific benefits are calculated.

Payment

We accept all major credit cards, personal checks, and cash.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend an individual or couples therapy appointment, please notify your therapist at least 48 hours in advance.

Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged the full session fee.

Group members are charged for each scheduled group session regardless of attendance.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical and mental health care is expected to cost.

Under federal law, healthcare providers are required to provide patients who do not have insurance, or who are choosing not to use insurance, with an estimate of the expected charges for non-emergency healthcare services, including mental health services.

You can ask us for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill. Please keep a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.

For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
