How Heather works
Heather takes an integrated approach to therapy, drawing from different modalities based on each client’s needs, experiences, and goals. Rather than relying on a single method, she works collaboratively with clients to better understand what is happening beneath the surface and what may need attention or care.
Her work is informed by somatic therapy and Internal Family Systems, or IFS. This may include helping clients notice how emotions and experiences show up in the body, understand different parts of themselves, and develop a more compassionate relationship with their internal world.
Heather is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Perinatal Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (P-DBT). She brings a trauma-informed perspective to her work and is attentive to creating a therapeutic relationship that feels steady, respectful, and emotionally safe.
Therapy with Heather may offer space to slow down, make sense of patterns, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with parts of yourself that have felt distant or difficult to access.
