How Olivia works

Olivia’s approach is integrated and flexible, drawing from multiple modalities to meet each client’s needs. She is trained in Somatic Attachment-Based EMDR, which helps clients process trauma through both the mind and body, and in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based form of CBT used specifically for trauma and PTSD. Her work helps clients understand their nervous system, release stored trauma, and build deeper emotional safety within themselves and their relationships.

A distinctive part of her style is the use of experiential and play-based methods. She believes creativity, imagination, and embodied expression open access points to emotions and insights that traditional talk therapy sometimes cannot reach.

Couples counseling and relationship work

Olivia is passionate about working with couples navigating communication problems, emotional intimacy and vulnerability, betrayal or disconnection, parenting-related stress, life transitions, family-of-origin patterns, and recurring conflict. She draws on her Gottman Level 1 training and Prepare/Enrich Certification to support pre-engagement and pre-marital counseling as well as ongoing relational challenges.

Education and background

Olivia earned a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lipscomb University and a Bachelor’s in Pre-Law and Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is an Associate of Marriage & Family Therapy (AMFT), supervised by Dr. Dan Goldstein at Nashville Psych and Dr. Dave M. Morgan, LMFT.

When she’s not with clients, Olivia is often searching for the best espresso in Nashville, practicing hot yoga, reading fiction, or planning her next weekend adventure with friends and family.
