Nashville Psych Offers Lower Cost Counseling With Therapist-Trainees

Nashville Psych is thrilled to announce the launch of our Therapy Internship Program and to welcome our first cohort of Therapist-Trainees. The program was designed to better serve Nashville’s diverse and economically challenged populations, while simultaneously providing graduate students with the supervised experiences necessary to become highly-skilled and competent mental health professionals.

Program Offers Lower Cost Counseling To Nashville Community

“Our interest in creating this program is two-fold,” said Dr. Goldstein. “We want to improve access to quality mental health care – and equally important, we want to provide Nashville-area graduate students in the field of counseling with real-world training and support. We’ve been planning this initiative for some time and are very excited to get it off the ground.”

Interns are carefully selected via a thorough screening process based on their strengths in a combination of areas including education, experience, interests, and personality. Each therapist-trainee is supervised and mentored by Nashville Psych Co-Founder and licensed psychologist Dr. Daniel Goldstein. The students receive weekly individual supervision from Dr. Goldstein and attend weekly group consultations with Dr. Goldstein and other Nashville Psych team members.
