Jo Webster, EdD, LPC-MHSP

Nashville-based psychotherapist Dr. Jo Webster works with adults and couples experiencing a wide variety of emotional, behavioral, and relationship challenges to help them heal, grow, and ultimately thrive.

Jo recognizes that a healthy, authentic relational connection with her clients, based on respect, honesty, and dignity, is key to success in therapy. To each session, Jo brings compassion, warmth, integrity, and a long-held belief that each client has an innate sense of who they want to become and what they want to achieve.

Dr. Webster utilizes an integrative approach to her therapeutic work, drawing from a variety of methods depending on the specific and unique needs of each client. Jo frequently incorporates elements of psychodynamic and object relations theories into her practice of therapy.

Jo typically works with clients suffering from anxiety, depression, substance abuse/addiction, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorders, personality disorders, relationship struggles, and life changes. Other areas of interest include helping clients who are struggling with a lack of confidence, negative self-talk and thoughts, and the feeling of not being good enough or not doing enough.

Dr. Webster has decades of experience in the field of psychology in a wide range of settings. Most recently, prior to joining Nashville Psych, Dr. Webster served as a counseling psychologist for an addiction treatment program for military personnel at Fort Campbell. Prior to her time at Ft. Campbell, Jo spent several years working as Clinical Director for a Florida-based comprehensive mental-health and substance use program for adults and children.

In her spare time, Dr. Webster enjoys painting, writing, practicing yoga, walking her dog, and spending time with friends and family.

We will offer you the support, guidance and tools necessary to experience relief from suffering – and empower you to achieve your full potential.
