Jenna Lehmann, MS

Jenna Lehmann is a skilled, empathic, and supportive therapist-trainee with a passion for helping clients connect or reconnect with their emotions and process past experiences in order to make positive changes – and ultimately align themselves with their goals, values, and sense of self. Jenna is dedicated to creating a warm, non-judgmental space in which to connect, heal, and grow.

Jenna enjoys working with young adults, older adults, and older teens with a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and a desire for self-acceptance. They also have a special interest in working with underrepresented or marginalized groups, especially those who identify as LGBTQ+ or are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.  While their primary theoretical orientation is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, they incorporate Internal Family Systems techniques and somatic/experiential work as appropriate.

Prior to working with therapy clients at Nashville Psych, Jenna completed a year of psychoeducational evaluation training, under the supervision of Dr. Dan Goldstein. This experience has helped them develop a deeper understanding of case conceptualization and how many different factors contribute to each client’s experiences, feelings, and behaviors.

Prior to enrolling in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program at Tennessee State University, Jenna earned their Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Baltimore in Maryland. During this time, they completed their practicum training at Chase Brexton, a healthcare center that emphasizes providing care to those who are sexual, gender, or racial minorities. Prior to interning at Nashville Psych, they completed a year of practicum training at Belmont University Counseling Services (BUCS), where they provided short-term, solution-focused therapy to both graduate and undergraduate students who were struggling academically or socially, or who were finding the transition to college difficult.

In their free time, Jenna enjoys spending time with friends, cuddling with their cat, hiking, tending to houseplants, and playing the piano.

We will offer you the support, guidance and tools necessary to experience relief from suffering – and empower you to achieve your full potential.
